Convert Used Cooking Oil into Biofuel

By Website Introductions at 01/05/09 17:25

In America, people are helping to advance in renewable energy by just donating their used cooking oil that would be later turned to biofuel.

In San Francisco, a cooking oil drive was held to help power the city's biofuel vehicles. The event generated about two tons of used cooking oil.

Converting these oil into something useful can help on more ways; it supplies biofuel for vehicles and save millions each year for repairing pipes damaged from people pouring old cooking oil down the drain.

Air NZ test flight uses biofuel

By Website Introductions at 01/04/09 03:06
In a demonstration of biofuels' capacity to be an efficient source of energy, biofuel made of jathropa seeds was produced to fuel a test flight of one of Air New Zealand's Boeing 747-400s.

However, according to airline officials, it will take another 3 to 4 years before the biofuel will be produced in commercial amounts.
