Grease is still Gas

By Website Introductions at 07/20/08 15:04
In the 80's, this movement was in action: using daily grease to run your cars. I believe this largely happened because of the rising costs of crude oil. Now that oil is rising so high once again, the movement to use your daily grease output is back once again. Will it prosper this time, or will it just vanish once more?

The Viable Alternatives for Energy Crisis handling

By Website Introductions at 07/16/08 14:10
Necessity is the mother of invention and scarcity of one thing leads to the value of other alternatives for that thing. This is exactly what has been happening in the fuel arena where rising prices of oil and gasoline have led to increasing research on biofuels as well as their demand as alternative sources of energy. Expert agencies also suggest that in the coming days, these alternative biofuels would really capture the market

Unsustainable?

By Website Introductions at 07/07/08 14:40
Brazil has long been lauded for its effective biofuel campaign. However, it is not without faults, and if these faults will carry on, this will reverse the very reputation that Brazil holds on in this field.

Year after year, large tracts of land are being eliminated from the face of the Amazon as a result of the need to plant more soya for biofuel production. Does this spell doom for Brazil?

Peanut Oil as Alternative Source of Energy

By Website Introductions at 07/06/08 15:11
Peanuts. Who would ever think that they will be tapped once again as an alternative for fossil fuel? Well, it is now being tapped.

However, the problem is that producing this kind of oil is costly, not to mention less efficient for your engines as well. Now, what do we do? Next alternative source of fuel, please! We don't want a Peanut Crisis coming.

The Great Debate - Biofuel Vs Gasoline

By Website Introductions at 07/04/08 14:15
There is a big debate going on in the world whether biofuels can totally replace petroleum products or not. The opponents of biofuels have several reasons to give for not using biofuels such as their affect on foodcrop prices and so on. But this is far from reality and if petroleum prices are not subsidized by governments, the prices of petroleum fuel will be much higher. Read some interesting views here on the issue

Both sides of the coin - SwitchGrass

By Website Introductions at 07/02/08 22:54
Science is based on facts and progresses through the methods of strict observation and strong debates which may look unpleasant but helps to separate the wheat from the chaff, or the switchgrass from the ordinary grass. What I mean is that there is a debate going on whether switchgrass is really as good a source of biofuel as is being claimed. Read both sides of the argument on this page here.

Switch to Grass - The SwitchGrass

By Website Introductions at 07/02/08 22:04
Historians say that the land in American Praires was covered with tall grass in the ancient times although that has given way to commercial crops nowadays. But as they say history repeats itself and now scientists are again interested in growing the same old grass but for a new reason - making biofuel out of it. Switchgrass is one such variety which can prove very useful for this venture so the moral of the story is switchgrass or switch to grass
